Apple announces a special event for October 18

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple sent out invitations to the media for a special event to be held on October 18. The event comes just a month after Apple held its annual iPhone event on September 14. The invitation says “Unleashed” and it will be an online event.

What to expect from Apple’s “Unleashed” event:

Rumors have been circulating about the all-new Apple launch Macbook Models. It has been suggested that Apple will also unveil, or rather “unleash”, a new updated M1 processor. Rumor has it called the M1X processor.
It is rumored that two new MacBook models could be released, 14-inch and 16-inch. Apple released Mac mini with M1 last year, Macbook Pro and MacBook Air. Since then, the M1 processor has made its way to the iPad Pro and 24-inch iMac.
A Bloomberg report has suggested that the new M1 chip could have eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. The new M1 chip is also rumored to be able to offer support for up to 64GB of RAM. This, if true, would be a quantum leap, as the current M1 chip only supports 16GB of RAM.
When it comes to hardware, rumors have suggested that Apple would ditch its TouchBar on upcoming MacBook models. Rumors also suggest that Apple could bring MagSafe charging to the MacBook Pro. Bloomberg’s report also hinted that the MacBook would get an HDMI port along with an SD card reader.
Apple’s “Unleashed” event on October 18 will be streamed live on the company’s website. Those interested can also watch it on Apple’s YouTube channel along with the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
