Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam among 11 Pakistan Test players to leave for Barbados on July 26 | Cricket News


KARACHI: Test players from the Pakistan national team bound for the West Indies will depart for Barbados for a two-game series on July 26.
Pakistan currently faces England in a match of three T20I series and will face the West Indies in five Q20I starting on July 27.
The visitors will then face the West Indies in a match of two. Test series which starts up from August 12.
The 11 players are Abid Ali, Azhar ali, Fawad alam, Imran Butt, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Yasir Shah, Zahid Mahmood.

The 11 cricketers who will join the remaining test players in the West Indies finished their 10-day training and conditioning camp at the Karachi National Stadium on Saturday.
Players will now enter a biosecurity bubble at a Lahore hotel on July 22 before departing for Barbados.
“Before entering the biosecurity bubble, players will be tested for COVID-19 in their respective home cities on Monday, July 19,” said the Pakistan cricket board (PCB) said in a statement.
Players will have another round of Covid-19 testing upon arrival at the team’s hotel in Lahore on Thursday. The final round of testing will take place on July 24 prior to the player’s departure in the early morning of July 26 to Barbados en route to London.
The first West Indies-Pakistan Test will be played at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica starting August 12.
Meanwhile, in the first T20I, Liam Livingstone scored the fastest T20I of the century by an England player, but was unable to carry the hosts over the line as Pakistan recorded a 31-run victory on Friday.
With this victory, Pakistan has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-game series. Livingstone broke nine sixes and fours on a scintillating 103 of 43 balls, but the Pakistani bowlers held their ground for a hard-fought victory.
