MEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra modi will participate in the first face-to-face Playground leaders summit in Washington on September 24, 2021, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi he said Thursday.
Sharing the itinerary, Bagchi further said, on September 25, the prime minister will address the general debate of the UN General Assembly at its 76th session. While the prime minister is in Washington, he will also have a bilateral meeting with President Biden, he added.
This will be the first in-person meeting between the two leaders since Biden took office earlier this year, although they have interacted at virtual events and spoken on the phone multiple times.
“We also look forward to bilateral meetings with other Quad leaders, as well as bilateral meetings with some other leaders while he is in New York on September 25,” he added. Arindam bagchi said.
The Prime Minister will join Biden and his Australian and Japanese counterparts Scott Morrison and Yoshihide suga, for the Quad Leaders Summit at the White House in Washington on September 24, six months after its first virtual summit held on March 12.
