NEW DELHI: The cumulative number of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine administered in the country exceeded 93.90 crore on Friday, the Union Health Ministry said.
As for the doses administered on Friday, the count as of 7 p.m. was 71,75,744, the ministry said, adding that this count is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports of the day late at night.

The country launched vaccination for all people over the age of 45 as of April 1.
The government then decided to expand its vaccination campaign by allowing everyone over the age of 18 to get vaccinated starting May 1.
