Covid: Most Indians plan to socialise in September & October as third wave risk looms | India News


NEW DELHI: Most Indians are ready to socialize and celebrate at the next festival season amid the risk of COVID-19‘s third wavereveals a survey.
LocalCircles has conducted a household social interaction survey to quantify the magnitude of social interactions and the risk of the spread of Covid.
The survey has revealed that 80% of Indian households will have service providers, domestic help and relatives, friends, etc., who will visit them in the next 30 days.
“59% plan to visit family, friends and others in the next 30 days, while 48% plan to attend meetings for festivals, birthdays and special occasions, “he said.
The Union Ministry of Health has warned people to follow appropriate Covid behavior and avoid mass gatherings if they are not fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, several epidemiologists have predicted that the third wave of Covid is likely to reach India in September-October.
