CPL: Barbados Royals ride on stunning show by Glenn Phillips and Kyle Mayers to beat Saint Lucia Kings | Cricket News


BASSETERRE: A sensational chase from the Barbados Royals assured that they finished their 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) campaign with a win against the Kings of Saint Lucia in Warner Park.
The Royals won the draw on Sunday and the captain Jason holder he chose to field, as he did in his game on Saturday.

Chase’s rich streak of form in this year’s CPL continued with a quick half-century that catapulted his team to an impressive 190/6 total.
The Royals ran into trouble on the sixth change, when Roston Chase threw a double wicket maiden, first catching Johnson Charles, then Shai Hope dropping the next ball to a run-out.

However, Mayers and Phillips went to the limit and formed a memorable partnership to give the Barbados Royals a famous victory, scoring 22 limits between them.
It was the CPL’s most successful chase run this year. Other than Chase, none of the Saint Lucia Kings bowlers were able to take a wicket.
