Delhi HC refuses to postpone release of film based on life of Sushant Singh Rajput: Bollywood News

The Delhi High Court has refused to suspend the release of a film based on the life of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away in June last year. The film titled Nyay: justice will be released tomorrow.

The petition to suspend the film’s release was submitted by the late actor Sushant’s father, Krishna Kishore Singh. He claimed that the film was filmed without the consent of the family and released in an orchestrated manner by confidants of people accused of a role in the actor’s death.

The petition was dismissed by the court headed by Judge Sanjeev Narula, who also asked the film producers to keep accounts.

In April, Krishna Singh had filed a petition to prevent anyone from using his son’s name or image on the big screen. At the time, the HC had asked the producers of several films – submitted and filming and filming at the time – to respond to Singh’s request.

Sushant’s death came as a shock to the entire film industry, her fans, and her family. The case is currently being investigated by three national agencies, including CBI, ED, and NCB. After his death, several filmmakers advertised films about his life.

In the guilty plea, Rajput’s father mentioned the names of some of the movies including: Nyay: The Justice, Suicide or Murder: A Star was lost, Shashank, and a movie financed by crowds of unnamed people. According to the suit, Nyay is scheduled to be released in June, while filming of Suicide or murder: a star was missed Y Shashank has started.

“The defendants (filmmakers), taking advantage of this situation, have been trying to take advantage of this opportunity for ulterior motives,” the statement read. Singh also asked the filmmakers for compensation of more than 2 million rupees for “loss of reputation, mental trauma and harassment” of the Rajput family.

The statement also alleged that if “the publication or transmission of a film, web series, book or any other content of a similar nature is allowed, it would affect the right of the victim and the deceased to a free and fair trial, as it may cause harm for them “.
