NEW DELHI: India pledged Thursday to continue working for the promotion and protection of human rights after being re-elected to the United Nations Human rights Tip (CDH) for the period 2022-24.
“India is re-elected to @UN_HRC (2022-24) for a sixth term with an overwhelming majority. A sincere thanks to @UN members for placing their faith in India,” India tweeted at the UN, New York.

“We will continue working for the promotion and protection of human rights through #Samman #Samvad #Sahyog #Samman #Samvad #Sahyog,” read the tweet from the Permanent Mission of India to the UN.
The UN General Assembly elected by secret ballot Argentina, Benin, Cameroon, Eritrea, Finland, Gambia, Honduras, India, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Montenegro, Paraguay, Qatar, Somalia, United Arab Emirates and the United States.
