IPL 2021: Punjab Kings’ KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Mayank Agarwal arrive in Dubai | Cricket News


DUBAI: Kings of Punjab‘players KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Mohammed shami, who was part of the Indian team for the England Test Series, landed in Dubai on Sunday for the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
These three players will now undergo a mandatory six-day quarantine, and thereafter, the players will join the rest of the team.
Earlier on Sunday, the Delhi Capitals players also landed in Dubai from England safely. The players, including Rishabh Pant, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and Umesh Yadav, were tested for Covid-19 upon arrival in Dubai.

“The players will be serving a six-day quarantine under IPL protocols, during which they will be tested three times. Thereafter, the players will join the rest of the Delhi Capitals team, which is already part of the bio-bubble. ”Said the franchise in its official statement.
The Control Board of Cricket In India (BCCI) has informed all franchises that all players coming from the UK will have to undergo six days of strict quarantine before they can join the existing team bubbles in the UAE for the restart of the 2021 edition of the IPL.
With the cancellation of the final test between India and England in Manchester, IPL franchises on Friday contacted charter companies to bring their Manchester players to the United Arab Emirates for the resumption of the cash-rich league.
The fourteenth season, which was postponed in May this year in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, will resume on September 19 in Dubai with the match between the Chennai Super Kings and the defending champions Mumbai Indians.
