President of isro K Sivan told TOI: “The plan is to achieve those launches by the end of this year, but since we would be using some key indigenous systems such as the TR module, TWTA and circulators as part of our effort to reduce imports, we will be conducting extensive tests to find out if there are any technical problems. This may take some time. ”
TR modules refer to transmitting and receiving modules that aid in satellite telemetry and tracking, while TWTAs (Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers) are commonly used in satellite communication links, observation payloads of the earth, scientific missions or probes, communication links between spacecraft, etc.
As TOI reported in March, Isro has been looking to indigenize various technologies aimed at reducing imports.

Additionally, Sivan said that the launch of EOS-4 would also usher in a new model for Isro as envisioned by the space reforms initiated by the Center.
