NEW DELHI: Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) boss and ex Bihar chief minister Jitan ram manjhi on Thursday he met with the national president of BJP, JP Nadda in the national capital.
The meeting at Nadda’s residence lasted about an hour. After the meeting, Manjhi called the meeting “purely apolitical.”
“I came here today to talk about the development of our area, that has been discussed. I am a resident of Magadh. There is a strong demand in Magadh that the ‘Magadhi‘language, it should be included in the eighth list and a written letter has also been provided for this. I am hopeful that this will happen, “Manjhi said.
Manjhi further said: “Apart from this, our area is affected by Naxal, so there are no railway projects there. We had also written to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister had ordered JP Nadda to talk to me and that is why we are meeting today. We talked about two railway sections from Islampur to Gaya and from Gaya to Daltonganj and also about the issue of the Magahi language. ”
He said: “There was no discussion about the alliance in the government regarding what is happening in Bihar.”
When asked if there was any discussion regarding the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections held with Nadda, Manjhi said: “There has been no political conversation today.”
The head of HAM refuted the rift between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata dal (United) in Bihar.
“I don’t think there is any problem in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Everyone is working with their mutual understanding. If someone makes a mistake, our leadership will solve the problem.”
“We are in Hindustan Awam Morcha and if something like this happens in the alliance then we will explain it together, there is no resentment in the alliance,” Manjhi added.
