CHANDIGARH: Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) boss Ajay chautala on Thursday he attacked opposition parties and peasant organizations demanding Haryana Deputy Prime Minister The resignation of Dushyant Chautala, and dismissed it saying that he did not blame the agricultural laws nor was he a signatory to them.
Addressing his party workers in Panipat, the JJP chief said that if they have to seek resignations under the laws put forward by the Center, they should do so from the 10 Lok Sabha MPs and five Rajya Sabha MPs from Haryana.
A group of farmers protesting against the agricultural laws held a protest and showed black flags to the JJP leaders as they traveled in their vehicles to reach the site.
Ajay Chautala also said that if the resignations help solve the farmers’ problem, then the JJP’s 10 MLA resignations, including Dushyant Chautala, were in his pocket and anyone who can solve the problem can take them away.
The JJP leader addressed the party meeting called to draw up programs for the anniversary of the birth of former Devi Lal on September 25.
The JJP chief said that farmers’ union leaders and political opponents of JJP have been demanding that Dushyant Chautala resign.
“I want to ask why Dushyant Chautala should resign? Did he formulate these (agricultural) laws? Are his signatures there?” he said.
“If anyone from Haryana participated in this (legislation legislation), it is 10 MPs from Lok Sabha and five MPs from Rajya Sabha from the state. If they have to seek resignation, they should do it from them … But they don’t ask for their You resign and just say that Dushyant should resign, ”he said.
The 10 members of Haryana’s Lok Sabha belong to the BJP. The party also has three Rajya Sabha members, while the opposition Congress has two.
Opposition parties, including Congress, and farm organizations spearheading the uproar against farm laws have sought in the past that Dushyant Chautala should resign and his JJP party should withdraw support from the BJP-led government that enacted farm laws. .
