JAMMU: indicating that there is more development at J&K on the cards, Union minister of oil and natural gas and housing and urban development, Hardeep Singh Puri he said Thursday that the J&K subway rail project will be approved by next week. He said the demand for LPG The government will also give the pipeline top priority.
The minister said this while speaking to the media during his visit to Jammu as part of the ongoing ‘Public Outreach Program’ at J&K.
The minister said that many schemes of the current government are reaching their saturation point. He cited Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana who has provided eight million million LPG connections so far.
Referring to the J & K-Bhatinda pipeline project, Singh said: “We currently have 19,000 km of pipeline and it is likely to extend to 35,000 km, ie an additional 16,000 km will be added and priority will be given to J&K.”
“After the repeal of section 370, the development projects that languished for years at J&K have been picked up again and many have been completed in these years. Development paradigms have now shifted at J&K, which is evident from the fact that development work has caught up under the new management and is now completed within a timeline at J&K, ”he said.
