NEW DELHI: Microsoft soft launched its dual screen Android telephone — Microsoft Surface Duo last year. Now, it appears that the company is working on its successor, probably called the Surface Duo 2.
Rumors suggest that Microsoft is working on the Surface Duo 2, which is expected to come with a faster processor and offer a better camera. The company is also expected to launch the smartphone in September or October this year.
Window Central has released the details on Microsoft’s upcoming Android phone. According to the report, the Surface Duo 2 is said to ship with Android 11 operating system out of the box.
The report suggests that the smartphone is expected to include the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. This also means that the Surface Duo 2 will also offer 5G support. Microsoft’s next smartphone is also said to offer a better and improved camera system. The report mentions that the device’s external camera array will complement the internal camera.
The report states that the company will not experiment much in terms of design. Hence, the Surface Duo 2 is also said to come with a similar design as its predecessor.
Recently, it was reported that Microsoft is reopening its experience stores. The company will start selling products at its ‘Experience Centers’ in London, New York and Sydney starting next month. Some Microsoft products will be available in stores starting July 1.
