“Employment is one of the top priorities of the state government. The state government is starting the hiring process for one lakh positions in a few days,” he added.
Chouhan addressed the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ program of Gokuldas Exports Limited’s ready-made garments unit in Bhopal’s Acharpura industrial zone on Monday.
He also inaugurated the water supply project in the Textile Park, Acharpura and the Special Education Zone and the Industrial Area, Acharpura.
“This unit proposed by Gokuldas Exports will be built on 10 acres. The company will make a capital investment of Rs 110 million, in which employment will be available to more than 4,000 local residents,” Chouhan said.
“In addition, more than three-quarters of the plant’s employees will be women. About 10,000 people will be employed by this unit,” he added.
Speaking about supplying sufficient water for industries, CM said that the Narmada Water Supply Pipeline Scheme was launched at a cost of Rs 16.81 crore to supply water to industries in the Acharpura industrial area.
“With this, three MLDs of water per day can be supplied to about 300 units. Adequate availability of water for industries will be guaranteed,” said the CM.
“The land available in Patalpur near Berasia has been identified for agriculture-based industries. Our goal is to provide better employment opportunities for local youth and women,” he added.
Chouhan also said that the state has made a big leap in the ease of doing business. The state now ranks fourth in the country for business opportunities.
“Steps like ‘Start your business in thirty days’ have been taken to encourage the establishment of industries in the state. All activities related to the establishment of industries are carried out from a single window,” he said.
Chouhan said the state is working fast to facilitate business. In the framework of the ‘Ek Zila-Ek Utpad’ program, 64 specific products have been selected from all the districts.
“Industrial corridors will be developed on both sides of the ‘Atal Progress-Way’ and ‘Narmada Expressway’. Both corridors will give a new pace and direction to the construction of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh,” said the CM.
Chouhan announced that the state is fostering cluster-based expansion of micro, small and medium industries.
Under this, 13 clusters will be developed in the state in different sectors such as furniture, toys, textiles, food processing, agriculture, electricity, mechanics, namkeen and engineering.
Chouhan said there is a huge land bank available for industries, in which 30,000 acres of developed land and 33,664 acres of undeveloped land are also available for industrial areas.
