Oppo Watch 2 launch confirmed for July 27 in China


BBK-owned consumer technology brand Oppo is set to launch a new smartwatch, to be called Oppo watch 2 – on July 27 in your home country, China.
The device will be the successor to the Oppo watch which was launched in India in July 2020 and in China in March 2020.
Oppo Watch 2: expected features and specifications
An official listing on JD.com of the device to be released soon shows that it will sport a rectangular sphere just like its predecessor. It will also house two buttons on the right.
In terms of features, it is said to offer e-SIM support as well as a heart rate monitor. The device also comes equipped with 50 sports mode and will be waterproof as it is IPX5 certified.
The next Oppo Watch is said to launch in multiple size variants, just like its predecessor. The variants are expected to be 42mm and 46mm.
Separately, a report from ITHomes has shed some light on the likely specs of the Oppo Watch 2. According to the report, it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC, making it one of the first smartwatches to run. at Qualcomm. Most recently released chipsets for portable devices.
With this chipset, Oppo is said to make use of Apollo Chip 4s that it has jointly developed with Ambiq. The Apollo 4s is supposed to be an ultra-low power SoC, it will probably be to improve the battery life of the device.
These chipsets are said to be coupled with 16GB of internal storage.
Oppo Watch 2 India Availability
At this point, there is no confirmation as to whether Oppo will launch the device in India. However, we expect it to hit the Indian market later this year or early next.
