The next phase of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign began on March 1 for people aged 60 and over and those aged 45 and over with specific comorbid conditions.
The country launched vaccination for all people over the age of 45 as of April 1. The government then decided to expand its vaccination campaign by allowing everyone over 18 to get vaccinated starting May 1.
The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the country’s most vulnerable population groups from Covid-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level, the ministry said.
