PM Modi to virtually lay foundation stone of boys’ hostel in Surat tomorrow | India News


NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra modi will virtually perform the ‘Bhoomi poojanCeremony of the Phase-1 shelter (children’s shelter) built by Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj in Surat of Gujarat on Friday.
In an official statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said Thursday that the hostel building has residential facilities to accommodate about 1,500 students. It also contains an auditorium and a library dedicated to students. Construction of Phase II of the shelter to house some 500 girls will begin next year.
According to PMO, Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj is a registered trust established in 1983 whose main objective is the educational and social transformation of weaker sectors of society. Helps prepare students for various competitive exams and also provides them with a platform to entrepreneurship and skill development.
Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel will also be present during the event.
