NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday he blamed previous governments at the Center for ignoring the contribution of the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle.

Leaders credited Prime Minister Modi with recognizing heroes “who have been ignored” by previous governments.
In response to a request from a descendant of Jayee Rajguru to include the contribution of the Odisha freedom fighters in the curriculum, Pradhan said: “Even after 75 years of our Independence, people have to make such a demand. .. This is because the people who were in power ignored the contribution of such heroes. ”
