Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Tamil Nadu president, general secretary and treasurer join JD(U) in Delhi | India News


PATNA: Various leaders of Tamil nadu state unit Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) including its president TS Das Prakash, Chief Secretary General PM Vijay Chandran and Treasurer G Tamilselvan joined Janta Dal (United) at their national office in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The onboarding program was carried out in the presence of JD (U) National Secretaries General Afaque Ahmad Khan and Harshvardhan Singh. Khan admitted them to JD (U) by handing over party membership receipts.
By accepting JD (U) membership, Tamil Nadu leaders said they decided to join JD (U) after being inspired by the ideology and development works of Bihar CM Nitish kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said: “Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and JD (U) national president Rajiv ranjan singh alias Lalan singh Always welcome all those who wish to fight for social and political causes while walking the path of the party ideology of ‘Development with justice’ ”.
He said that the JD (U) national leadership was working in the direction of strengthening and expanding the party base in many states outside of Bihar.
“Today’s union would strengthen and expand JD (U) base in Tamil Nadu at ground level,” Khan said, adding that the party has already decided to contest the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Manipur with the aim of make JD (U) a ‘national party’.
