Ryan Reynolds sends message for Indian fans: Hollywood is mimicking Bollywood now | English Movie News

Showing his unusual wit, Hollywood Star Reynolds shared a special message for her Indian fans on Thursday ahead of the release of ‘Free boy’ in the country and said the movie has all the elements of a classic Bollywood film. Directed by Shawn Levy, ‘Free Guy’ stars Reynolds as a bank teller who discovers that he is a background character in an open-world video game called Free City that will soon go offline.

The adventure comedy will premiere in the country on Friday in English and Hindi.

In a video posted by 20th Century Studios India on their YouTube page, Reynolds drew parallels between “Free Guy” and Hindi movie tropes, with a classic hero-heroine-villain arc packed with action and music.

“Hello India. My new movie ‘Free Guy’ has a guy named ‘Guy’ who is quite Romeo, a girl who is out of his league, a crazy villain, some crazy action and of course dancing.

“If you’re wondering if Hollywood is imitating Bollywood now, well the answer is yes. We have no shame. We have no shame,” the 44-year-old actor said in the video.

‘Free Guy’ also includes Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika waititi.

The 20th Century Studios film opened in theaters in the United States on August 13.
