the Bombay High Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actor Salman khan, seeking his answer on the self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R KhanThe petition to annul the interim order of a lower court that prevents him from commenting on the actor, his films or his companies. Kamaal Khan in his guilty plea said that the viewer cannot be prohibited from commenting on a movie or its characters.

Furthermore, he said that the lower court should not have approved such a blanket order, and while the court could prevent him from making personal comments against Salman Khan, it could not prohibit fair criticism of the latter’s films.

On Thursday, a single bank chaired by Judge AS Gadkari issued notices to Salman Khan, his producer Salman Khan Ventures and various social media intermediaries seeking their response to Kamaal Khan’s plea.

Kamaal Khan has challenged a Mumbai court provisional order issued in June this year on a libel suit brought by Salman Khan against the former for his comments on the film “Radhe” and some of his other videos and comments.

At that time, the court barred Kamaal Khan from posting or posting any defamatory content about Salman Khan, his business ventures and / or movies, his relatives, until the final order in the defamation case.

However, in his appeal filed in the HC through lawyer Manoj Gadkari, Kamaal Khan asserted that the lower court’s interim order is no less than a “gag order”.

He said he is a film critic and had been quite critical of the movie “Radhe” in which Salman Khan, “55, was acting like a teenager.”

The petitioner also alleged that the precautionary measure of the lower court violated his fundamental right to exercise his trade, that of film critic, and, therefore, prevented him from earning his rightful living.

He said in his appeal that he had not made any comments or posted videos and tweets intended to smear Salman Khan or his films.

“The trial court should not have failed to consider that the viewer of a film cannot be prevented from commenting on the film or the characters in the film, or whether the actors in the film are a success or a failure “, said. on your request.

He also claimed in his appeal that the trial court had made a “serious mistake” in approving the court order and that the order was “illegal”.

Salman Khan’s advisers and some other respondents told the HC that they received copies of Kamaal Khan’s appeal on Wednesday evening and sought time to receive instructions from their clients.

The HC will continue to listen to the plea after two weeks.
