AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra modi will be “re-elected” in 2024, the Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Cha said here on Friday.
Addressing a function at Pansar in Gandhinagar district, Shah said that no other leader in the world has achieved the feat of being continuously elected for 20 years.
“Yesterday, Narendra-bhai served 20 years in public office. Until now, not a single leader in the world has achieved this feat of being elected continuously for 20 years and serving the people tirelessly for 20 years,” he said.
“In democratic countries, where people can change their elected representatives, you will not find a single leader who has served uninterruptedly for such a long period. Narendra Modi He took office (as Prime Minister of Gujarat) on October 7, 2001, and yesterday was October 7, 2021. Today he is prime minister and will be elected again in 2024, “Shah said.
The Union Minister, who represents Gandhinagar in the Lok Sabha, I was on a one day visit to Gujarat.
After opening a tea stand run by a women’s self-help group at the Gandhinagar train station, she came to the village of Pansar, near the city of Kalol, to open a Primary Health Center.
The Union Minister of the Interior also held a groundbreaking ceremony for a lake beautification project in Pansar. During the post show, he launched 143 small projects worth Rs 11 crore.
Modi could stay in office for so long because he always cared about people, Shah said in his speech.
“I have always seen him focusing on things that are incomplete. You will hardly find such concern for the nation, the state, the people and the poor in any other leader,” added the Union minister.
The achievements of the government of the Union led by Modi in the last seven years would surpass those of the congressional governments in 70 years, he said.
He listed several achievements of the Modi government, such as opening Rs 60 million bank accounts, building Rs 10 million toilets and supplying 5 million people with electricity.
Later, Shah left for his hometown of Mansa in the district to perform puja at the Bahuchar Mata temple on the occasion of Navratri, a tradition he has been following for the past few years.
