Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra They have been granted a reprieve in the ongoing investigation following Kundra’s arrest in a pornography-related case. A source close to the Mumbai police has revealed to ETimes that Shilpa will not receive a subpoena in the Raj Kundra case, as has been speculated in recent days.

Speaking to ETimes on condition of anonymity, the source revealed: “Shilpa Shetty is one of the directors of Viaan Industries while the police investigation investigates Kenrin only. “Kenrin is a UK based company and owner of the HotShots app, where the alleged pornographic content was distributed.

Kenrin is owned by Kundra’s brother-in-law, Pradeep Bakshi, who is a British citizen and is married to Kundra’s sister. He is the president of Kenrin, the company directly responsible for the pornography case. At a recent press conference Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) had said: “Although the company was registered in London, content creation, application operation and accounting were done through Kundra’s Viaan Industries.”

Raj Kundra, also known as Ripu Sudan Kundra, was born and raised in London. He was arrested by Mumbai police on Monday for his alleged involvement in a case involving the production and distribution of pornographic content through mobile applications. His company’s IT director, Ryan Thorpe, was also arrested in this case. They produced at the Esplanade Court in Mumbai on Tuesday. Kundra is currently in police custody tomorrow, July 23.
