THEN: Up to 6,00,000 passports had been issued by the post office Seva Kendras passport (POPSK) in the country in the past six months, the Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan said on Tuesday.
He was speaking virtually from Delhi while opening a POPSK in Dombivli in the Thane district of Maharashtra.
“A total of 427 POPSKs, including the new one, are operating in the country and serving citizens to the best of their ability. They handle important documents. In the last six months, up to 6,00,000 passports were issued by POPSK, which costs 3,000 passports per day, “Chauhan said.
He said that the services provided by the Post Office They are the most reliable since the department has a wide network throughout the country.
“Services were expanded under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra modi. Post office services are no longer limited to post management and payment orders but they are much more ”, he added.
The minister also said that when services are rendered there should be a certain tolerance and the same is shown by the passport offices and the post office.
Kalyan MO Shrikant Shinde and senior officials from the Post Office were present on the occasion.
