In response to a question about Priyanka’s act of sweeping the floor during her detention, Adityanath had said earlier in the day that “the people wanted them (the leaders of Congress) to be worth doing that and that’s what they have done”.
“These people have no jobs except spreading annoyance and negativity,” he had said.

While mingling with the residents of Luv Kush Nagar, the congressional secretary general cleaned up the area, saying that millions of women and sanitation workers in the country use brooms daily to clean, a congressional spokesman said.
On the television news channel’s program, the prime minister had further said: “These people have nothing but a negative attitude. They were not seen during the times of the crown. ”
“When people were infected, it was the workers of the BJP and the government who were with the people in the midst of a zero presence of these people,” he added.
“But now they have risen from their slumber and seized the Lakhimpur incident as an opportunity,” Adityanath said.
Making an exception to the CM’s comment, Priyanka told people in Luvkush nagar, “He has not humiliated me by saying that he has humiliated them all, as millions of Dalit brothers and sisters are Safai Karamcharis and do this work.”
“I came here to do the cleaning work together with all of you and to let Yogi Ji know that cleaning and using a broom is a self-respecting task,” she said.
