NEW DELHI: Security agencies on Tuesday identified four terrorists who carried out the killings of civilians in Srinagar during the last week. The kingpin, Basit Ahmed Dar, 25, disappeared from his home in Redwani in the Kulgam district in April and had also been under the scan previously.

Security agencies collected CCTV footage from various locations and linked the dots to focus on the terrorist squad responsible for the killing of civilians, the officials added.
Bindroo, owner of Bindroo Medicate in Iqbal Park, received four bullets in the abdomen when terrorists shot him at point-blank range after breaking into the pharmacy on October 5. Sheikh, a resident of Rampur village in Kulgam, had joined the forbidden group Hizbul Mujahideen in the mid-90s. He was arrested for the first time in 2004 and released after a year. In 2007, he was arrested again and spent four years in jail. After his release, he was home for three years, before disappearing again in the spring of 2014. Sheikh was behind the murder of non-Kashmiri jeweler Satpal Nischal, earlier this year.
He was shot in a swift operation by the Army earlier this year.
